Berry Pond Herons ~ Apr 15, 2013

Journal entry by Kurt wisell

Curiosity was killing nine cats who, in order to avoid their certain demise, decided to return to Berry Pond to see if the herons had returned, their having been skunked in a similar effort two weeks ago. Stubbornly braving sunny, warm, windless weather, Donna and Peter, Diane and Kurt, Ray, Kendra, Joanne, Fran and Linda saved themselves by spotting four nests, seven herons, some mallards, wood ducks and a salamander.
