The A Team's trip to Shippee's Ledge ~ Oct 30, 2015

Journal entry by Don McMahon

A good day for getting out and walking. The fall color has lasted longer than expected so that in many places, particularly along the shores of lakes and rivers, we are still at peak color. Such was the case in the Corinth area and Shippee's Ledges. With bright sun shining down on the leaves in near full color the scene from the top of Shippee's Ledges was breath taking. Unfortunately the stiff cold breeze forced us to have lunch in a more sheltered spot removed from the view. 14 of us showed up for the easy hike to the Ledges in colorful clothes so as not to mimic deer. However little signs of hunters and no shots heard! Hopefully photos will be added to verify attendance.
